2,454 Days Later - A New Dow Jones High
In a funny bit of comedy, the Dow Jones (DOW JOKES) Industrial Average hit a new all time intraday and new all time closing high of 11,727.34 - besting it's previous closing high set Jan 14th, 2000 by less than 5 points. I had hoped for this yesterday as a Birthday Present, but hey, a day later isn't bad.....
Interestingly, the only Dow stocks at a new high are American Express (AXP) and United Technologies (UTX).
Just a few others (BA, CAT, XOM, PG and MO) are just somewhat off new highs set this year; but by and large, most of the Dow components have been sucking wind the last 6 3/4 years being well off their highs;
